Objective and Context
For the Maldarizzi Automotive Bari site, MG Motor Italia requested an update of the external image consistent with the brand’s guidelines, with particular focus on road visibility and logo legibility. Progim Sign managed the entire process: technical surveys, graphic design, and production/installation of the identification elements, ensuring efficiency, quality, and visual coherence.
Surveys and Design
The project began with precise technical surveys of the building and installation areas, essential for defining alignments, fixing points, and architectural constraints. Based on the collected data, Progim Sign developed a detailed project book containing floor plans, elevations, and executive drawings for the correct placement of MG elements, along with layouts for external communication areas (entrance, roadside facades, and service zones).
General administrative permits were handled by the dealership, while Progim coordinated the public land occupation request for work near the roadway, ensuring safe handling of elevated operations and load movements.
Component Production and Specifications
Production was entirely handled by Progim Sign, using materials and finishes suitable for outdoor use and the site’s environmental conditions. In particular, the following elements were created:
- MG logos and 3D illuminated letters, ensuring high legibility and retrofitted electrical systems where necessary.
- Adhesive films for institutional messages (e.g., “Welcome” and logo) applied to glass and compatible surfaces.
- Single-faced signs for the outdoor Service area, guiding customers along access routes.
- Aluminum composite panels (ACM) with dedicated substructures, color-calibrated to MG’s brand palette to unify the facades and create visual continuity across exposed fronts.
- Used car showroom area (dealer request): a dedicated section was created and installed, featuring dealer-branded illuminated 3D letters mounted on ACM background panels with a supporting frame and coordinated finishes. This configuration highlights the pre-owned offering while maintaining alignment with MG’s corporate identity.
All components were produced in Progim Sign’s manufacturing hubs and shipped to the site with custom packaging and installation lists for efficient and organized assembly.
Installation and Operational Coordination
Installation was carried out by a dedicated three-person technical team, following a step-by-step plan: preparation, substructure mounting, wiring, installation of illuminated components, and final finishes. The Project Manager’s on-site supervision ensured seamless alignment between the dealership and the installation team, optimizing access routes, temporary storage areas, and minimizing interference with commercial operations.
In areas adjacent to the main road, installation complied with public land occupation regulations, including time-window scheduling and temporary barriers to ensure uninterrupted customer service.
Outcome and Brand Value
The final result provides Maldarizzi Automotive Bari with a coherent, legible, and brand-aligned external image — featuring clean facades, uniform color schemes, and customer-oriented wayfinding. Both the dealership and MG Motor Italia expressed full satisfaction with the quality and visual precision of the outcome.
