Client (OEM): MAN Truck & Bus Italia
Dealer: Truck Florence
Address: Via Nazario Sauro – Sinalunga (SI)
Project Manager: Adele Bernardi
Objective of the Intervention
For the Truck Florence site in Sinalunga, MAN Truck & Bus Italia entrusted Progim Sign with the external identification of the truck dealership, with a dual objective:
- Align the site with MAN corporate standards in terms of image and signage;
- Increase brand visibility along Via Nazario Sauro, making the entrance, workshop and after-sales services immediately recognisable.
Progim Sign managed the entire operational process: technical site survey, graphic and executive design, handling of administrative procedures on behalf of the client, and installation of the new signs produced by certified supplier Kaufman.
Site Analysis and Technical Survey
The intervention began with an on-site technical survey, during which potential structural constraints were assessed.
This phase made it possible to define the preliminary layout of the identification elements: totem, façade signs and text panels dedicated to MAN Truck & Bus services, with particular attention to legibility for those driving industrial vehicles.
Graphic and Executive Design
Based on the surveys, Progim Sign developed a graphic and executive project that translates MAN’s international guidelines into the specific context of Truck Florence. The project book included layout plans with the positioning of external signs, façade elevations with dimensions and measurements, as well as technical drawings of each identification element.
The design approach focused on linear and consistent external identification, where the totem, logo wall and service signage work together to guide customers towards the various departments (sales, workshop, parts) and to enhance the brand’s presence along the entire road frontage.
Administrative Procedures and Permits
For the Sinalunga site, Progim Sign supported Truck Florence in managing all administrative procedures required for the installation of the new signs, taking care of:
- Preparation of technical documentation for sign permit applications to the relevant authorities;
- Support in managing any temporary occupation of public land needed for lifting equipment and aerial platforms;
- Verification of consistency between the approved project and the signs actually installed.
This approach helped streamline the permitting process, providing a single technical point of contact for both the dealership and the public administration.
Sign Production and Logistics Coordination
The MAN Truck & Bus signs for the Truck Florence site were manufactured by Kaufman, an approved supplier for the Italian network. Progim Sign coordinated the relationship with the producer, verifying alignment between the executive project, technical specifications and construction solutions, and scheduling production and delivery times according to the dealership’s operational needs.
Material unloading was organised directly on site, with a targeted distribution of components across the different work areas.
Ongoing communication between Progim Sign Project Manager Adele Bernardi, Kaufman and Truck Florence made it possible to manage material flows in an orderly manner, optimising installation days and minimising any interference with day-to-day site activities.
On-Site Installation at Truck Florence
Installation of the new signs was carried out by a specialised technical team.
Activities included:
- Removal of any signs no longer compliant with MAN standards;
- Installation of the main totem along the access road, to immediately identify the site’s presence;
- Installation of façade signs and panels with MAN logo and service wording;
- Final checks on alignment, fixings and functionality of illuminated elements.
The work was organised so as not to interfere with the dealership’s normal operations, respecting access routes and exits for heavy vehicles heading to the workshop and parking areas.
Result
At the end of the intervention, the Truck Florence site in Sinalunga presents an external image perfectly aligned with the MAN Truck & Bus brand: totem and signs are clearly legible, functional areas are clearly identified and the entire complex is immediately recognisable as a reference point for the truck sector.
The combined action of design, permit management, coordination with Kaufman and on-site installation enabled Progim Sign to deliver a clean, orderly result in line with the client’s expectations.
Once again, Progim Sign confirms its role as a specialised partner for external identification in the industrial vehicle sector, supporting MAN Truck & Bus Italia and its dealer network in creating visually consistent, functional sites ready to welcome professional customers.
