A “textbook” debut: the first MAXUS site in Italy

For the launch of the first MAXUS dealership in Italy, Progim Sign delivered a complete intervention—exterior and interior—for the Dalma dealer in Solaro. Not just a fit-out, but a prototype site: a pilot project designed to establish a replicable benchmark for the network rollout.

The work was carried out at the request of SAIC Motor Italy, with the support of Gabriele Cantone (SAIC Network Development) and Edoardo Gamberini (Head of Maxus), to align choices, details, and final output throughout every project phase.

Tight timelines, clear goal: delivery immediately after the holidays

The project arrived shortly before Christmas with a specific requirement: make the site operational and ready to start the new year. Progim Sign responded with a tight schedule, completing the work by 15 January—turning a critical window into a “record-time” delivery.

Project management

Project Managers Riccardo Mussini and Francesco Barbaglio oversaw the full workflow: technical surveys, solution set-up, graphic design and project book, phase scheduling, and on-site installation management. In parallel, they maintained close operational alignment with Gabriele Cantone and Edoardo Gamberini to ensure every detail met the required standards.

Exteriors: an immediately recognisable MAXUS identity

External identification was built around a central element: a wall-mounted portal in aluminium composite, designed as a clean, contemporary support for the signage.

A MAXUS sign in illuminated channel letters was installed on this structure, engineered to ensure strong presence and high legibility.

To complete the exterior, two flagpoles were installed with a dedicated locking system to support fabric flags and maintain order and aesthetic consistency under everyday use.

Interiors: welcome, privacy and brandwall

Inside, the intervention defined an essential yet complete sales area, designed to welcome customers with clarity and a consistent brand image:

  • Waiting area with two armchairs and a side table;
  • Sales workstation with desk and drawer unit;
  • Customer seating;
  • Application of privacy films on walls and window to increase privacy and better define the area;
  • Behind the desk, a MAXUS brandwall made from solid acrylic, a high-impact feature delivering immediate brand recognition.

Production and permits: clear roles

The production phase was managed entirely by Progim Sign. Materials were delivered directly on site, simplifying logistics and handling.

The required administrative procedures were managed by the dealer, maintaining a clear division of responsibilities between permitting and technical execution.

Installation and brand approval

Installation was carried out by one crew over two working days, ensuring continuity of operations and closing the site in line with the planned schedule.

Upon completion, SAIC confirmed the project, validating the implemented solutions and the final compliance with the stated objectives.

Result

Today, the Dalma site in Solaro stands as a reference point for MAXUS’ debut in Italy: a complete, coherent environment ready to welcome customers and sales activity from day one.

The dealer’s full satisfaction and the brand’s approval reinforce the value of the project: not merely a completed intervention, but a concrete foundation for the development of the MAXUS network across the country.
