A “dealer-driven” project with signage supplied by the brand

For the opening of the Polestar sales point at Lario Mi Auto in Milan, Progim Sign operated in a context where the brand directly managed the signage supply, delivering the official elements (individual letters and logo) to the dealership, already compliant with Polestar brand standards.

In these cases, the dealership appoints the company responsible for installation. Progim Sign therefore managed the execution phase, turning a “ready-to-install” supply into a correct, stable installation that fully meets Polestar specifications.

The project was coordinated by Project Managers Adele Bernardi and Francesco Barbaglio, who oversaw site checks, activity planning, and the façade installation phases.

The work was carried out in coordination with Elisabetta Cardinale (Polestar contact) to ensure alignment with brand standards, and with Saul Mariani (Owner, Lario Mi Auto) for on-site operations, access management, and scheduling of the working windows.

Special thanks also to architect Elena Pasquali for her collaboration.

Site survey and operational setup

Activities began with on-site technical surveys to verify surfaces, dimensions, and fixing points, and to define the installation method for the façade signage.

No graphic design activities or project book were developed: the setup was guided by the brand’s instructions and by the materials already supplied to the dealership.

On-site coordination and operational requirements

Operational coordination was managed through direct alignment with Lario Mi Auto, to keep the workflow fast and focused on installation needs and the site schedule.

On the authorizations side, no standard administrative procedures for signage were initiated. However, a specific coordination activity with Serravalle was required for vehicle movements, ensuring safe access and operations during the work phases.

Adele Bernardi and Francesco Barbaglio managed the planning of the work windows and the sequence of operations, in order to minimize interference and proceed smoothly.

Custom fabrication: mounting substructures

Despite the signage being supplied by the brand, the site required additional technical work: the creation of dedicated mounting substructures, essential to ensure correct fixing of the signage to the façade.

This phase made it possible to adapt the installation to the actual characteristics of the substrate, ensuring stability, proper alignment, and a clean final appearance.

Installation: Polestar logo and wordmark on the façade

Two façade elements were installed: the Polestar logo and the Polestar wordmark.

The installation was carried out by one team over two working days, focusing on mounting, alignment, and final checks.

Result

The project was completed with results fully in line with the client’s expectations, confirming the quality of the installation and the final visual outcome.

Today, the Lario Mi Auto site features clear, clean external Polestar identification, consistent with the brand’s standards—thanks to a carefully executed installation and targeted technical works where required.
