Client: MG Motor Italy
Dealer: MG – Autoitaliana Rome
Address: Via Pontina, 430 – Rome
Project Managers: Riccardo Mussini, Francesco Barbaglio
Project Overview
The intervention at MG – Autoitaliana Rome had a clear goal: to completely renew the external image of the site and define a layout aligned with the brand’s visual guidelines, enhancing visibility along one of the busiest thoroughfares in the capital.
In addition to new external identification, a full redesign of the interiors (layout and equipment) was planned to ensure seamless continuity between the façade and showroom experience. The entire project was carried out in close collaboration with Giuseppe Famularo, MG Motor Italy‘s Network Development representative.
Scope of Work
Progim Sign managed the entire process – from technical surveys to graphic and executive design, through to production and installation – with a dedicated in-house team. Specifically:
- Restyling of the external façade with new cladding and optimized openings for display;
- Full-package interior/exterior design (design pack) in accordance with MG Motor guidelines;
- Production and installation of external signage:
- 6-meter-high main totem;
- Welcome totem;
- Parking totem;
- Boxed MG logo;
- Boxed dealer name lettering;
- Boxed “Service” lettering;
- Flagpoles;
- On-site material reception and quality control;
- Final photographic report and work completion certification shared with the headquarters.
Design and Coordination
The design pack included floor plans, elevations, layouts, technical drawings, and photorealistic renderings for a project preview. Once approved by MG Motor Italy, the design was shared with the dealership for operational checks (utilities, measurements, access) and scheduling. The collaboration with Giuseppe Famularo allowed for efficient handling of network-related requirements for MG Motor.
Production and Installation
With Progim Sign’s in-house production and a dedicated team, installation was carried out using aerial platforms and lifting equipment, ensuring that operations at the site remained uninterrupted. All signage was designed and manufactured in-house to guarantee chromatic consistency and finish in line with brand standards.
Site Supervision and Quality Control
Project Managers Riccardo Mussini and Francesco Barbaglio oversaw every phase of the site work, coordinating teams and monitoring progress until the final report was submitted to MG Motor Italy. The client expressed full satisfaction with the quality and outcome of the intervention.
Final Result
The MG – Autoitaliana Rome location (Via Pontina, 430) now boasts a strong and impactful exterior identity, fully aligned with MG’s visual branding: high-visibility totems and lettering, a renewed façade, and a clear entry pathway. The interior design, developed in parallel, ensures visual and functional continuity between the exterior and the showroom.
